Enjoy Your 92Y High Holidays
92nd Street Y once again offers High Holiday services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, led by Rabbi Jen Krause and Cantorial Soloist/Musical Director Josh Nelson. Named by the Jewish Daily Forward as one of America's Fifty Most Influential Women Rabbis, Jen Krause brings an innovative mix of sacred text, contemporary experience, and popular culture to diverse audiences throughout the country. Currently a doctoral candidate in music at Boston University, Nelson plays multiple instruments professionally and performs and records with his group, The Josh Nelson Project, bringing a new sound to 92nd Street Y while maintaining the time-honored elements of the service that resonate for many of those who attend.
92Y also offers family services with Karina Zilberman, whose Friday and Saturday morning Shababa programs attract hundreds of families throughout the year looking for a way to connect to Jewish tradition, for those who are more comfortable bringing their small children to a child-centered gathering. Engage with your family in a warm and welcoming holiday experience full of music and storytelling intended to make the spiritual meaning of the holidays come alive for both children and parents.
92Y's High Holiday services are non-denominational, offering people from a wide range of Jewish backgrounds, knowledge, and sensibilities a variety of ways to connect at this special time of the Jewish year.
