 Theater
That genius Alan Ayckbourn, the peerless British playwright of endlessly inventive plays, is somewhat underappreciated in these parts. The Old Vic revival of The Norman Conquests trilogy, directed by Matthew Warchus, should go a ways toward rectifying that. It's a 16-weeks-only engagement at Circle in the Square.
 Event

The Royal Holloway Collection. On the walls: sixty works of landscape and figurative art from the 19th century, collected by Thomas Holloway.

Needless to say, not everything British is all ipsy pipsy. Case in point is Hotel Babylon on BBC America, the TV equivalent of a popcorn movie. The new season starts May 15th.
